My Savior

When hope is sinking, all seems lost,
And in this world we’re tempest tossed,
Glance up to heaven, see His face
All our worries will be erased.

When we fall down and cannot rise,
Our bodies sore, our weary eyes,
Turn back to where we had begun,
He picks us up, gives strength to run.

The spark He gives us lights the way,
It matters not how far we’ve strayed.
His love comes when we’re at our worst.
A sinner blessed instead of cursed.

I can’t begin to fathom this,
How deep and constant God’s love is,
How wrong and ugly all my sin.
Yet He, in love forgives again.

Times are tough. The world around us is broken and we ourselves have so much sin. But Christ is our Savior and he forgives us, loves us, and helps us to continue on. This poem by Moriah Faith (a guest poster for this blog) beautifully articulates this. It’s worth reading! šŸ™‚
